As the financial crisis breaks light and reaches an all new high, you would have thought that Fall 2015 runway presentations would be nothing but parades of black. As black was seemly last Fall's “it” color, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, and Max Azria have all taken note of the economies need for something new. Or at least something to take our minds away from the not to pleasant situation. This season, acid greens and eye-blinding yellows add something bold to your closet.
At Michael Kors, the bold hues appeared in the form of fur, sheath dresses, and oversized knit sweaters - all paired with accessories to match. Much like the Michael Kors' presentation, Narciso Rodriguez also opted for a head-to-toe highlighter effect. Though Rodriguez went a step further and matched each neon look with stockings in identical color. Marc Jacobs' retro spin of the color not only brought back colorful memories of the past, but also the noted rich furs and velvets that were sometimes attached.
How To Wear The Trend:
Realistically, completely covering yourself in such a trend may not seem practical. Though, there is still hope for those who wish to attempt such a daring task. While taking a try at achieving this look, you must keep in mind - "What might work on the runway, does not always work in real life". As the a neon item is already such a stand out piece; simple, clean, and black will work best.
Pairing the essential little black dress with the right neon accessories can add much needed excitement, to what boredom that can be derived from the dullest of dresses.
When wearing a neon garment the same is also true, to some extent. Seeing how an acid bright garment can surly speak for itself with its loud and eye catching attention - the need for similar accessories adds for unnecessary competition between the two matching pieces.
