Balmain Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear

Friday, March 06, 2015

After a less than firm start off into menswear, the most anticipated show for this Fall was easily the Balmain presentation. Showing a not too chic, a tad too shabby Fall 2015 men’s collection; You can go as far to say that Christophe Decarnin had something to prove this season. With the collection's many embellished mini dresses, rise and fall hemlines, padded shoulders, and studs - it was a difficult to tell if you were really at the houses Fall presentation or somehow found yourself back at Spring 2015.

When giving the gist of the collection, the two seem very similar. Though, when breaking down Decarnin’s latest presentation - the work displayed can be seen as nothing short of breathtaking.

Opening the show with dhoti pants, which were covered in crystals this season, the designers well-bread rocker sense of style was still very present. Which just happens to be the very thing, that drives many of us Balmain lovers wild. After, the show played into pant an shirt combos, with the pants being loose fitting and tops being form fitting. As last season’s blazers had rounded shoulders, this season’s Balmain blazer has pointed. Many pieces covered in Swarovski crystals creating a feeling on new luxury today. Not to mention, a futuristic look.

Since this is only the designer's 6th women’s collection at Balmain - Decarnin is still only building an archive of his signature style at Balmain. One that I can say easily makes me fall in love with his work again and again.

This was by far the SEXIEST collection this season (eve though it's not over), in the most literal sense. There was a lot of leg, short lengths, high-shine, and was not the least bit hooch. Watch for Martelo, Alt, Roitfeld, and Dello Russo to be all over these pieces very soon.

You may have to show me how to do those collages ;) lol I loved it. You chose the perfect looks from the collection.

I can always count on your for inspiration!! :]

MK & A in stocking and crazy high heels fuel my desires. :]

And I greatly miss Ruslana :/ so so very sad.... :/
