Who's In Now - Leigh Lezark - Class Meets Edge

Tuesday, April 07, 2015

Frequently spotted stilting in the front row of some of the industry's most coveted shows, Leigh Lezark is seemly starting to leaver her mark on fashion. While some might complain of the 24 year-old DJ and occasional model's monochromatic wardrobe, Lezark has found an easy medium between creating a timeless yet modern way of dressing. Usually found out and about in blacks, deep blues and a variety of darker colors - Leigh best known as one-third of the New York City-based DJ trio the Misshapes, isn't afraid of fashion or a cut-out knit Chanel dress (as shown above).

It's so hard to make those two things work, classy and edgy. She does it perfectly!

What a gorgeous variety of looks! So dramatic. Especially digging the pink bustier dress.

Fab collage, darling!

She's great, I really like her style, I find it similar to my own. Only, I wish I owned a pair of Chanel gun heels!!!!! xx

Really like her almost goth-inspired look. But in the most left picture you can see her natural color grow out, I can tolerate it when that is darker and the rest is blonde, but I'm not fond of it this way :P! That outfit in the vogue cover is just brilliant!

Lezark favours Chanel? Really?? I had no idea... annnd that was a joke :P Now down to business. Leigh is truly a powerhouse style icon in the industry; odd because she's more a die-hard fan than an actual industry player! The same can be said about Mr. West. For those who have a problem with her monochromatic ways, you clearly don't have an eye for style. Her favoured dark colour palette suits her personality and overall look, and I truly think nobody does black better than Leigh. Everytime I see a picture of her, I bring out my check list:

- Items/pieces from recent seasons: check
- Most likely Chanel/Lagerfeld: check
- Black: check
- Absolutely chic: check, check, check

I think it's safe to say that she's responsible for introducing the Chanel gun heel to us fashion fanatics. She's got Chanel clout. P.S. That shot of her in Balmain from Vogue Italia looks as if she came directly off the runway from the S/S09 show. Bottom line = we <3 LL.
