Chanel Resort 2015 Paris-Venice

Sunday, May 17, 2015

Only for Chanel would you wait two hours in unspeakable anticipation. As the sun began to set models took to boardwalk, which took the place of this season's catwalk, in timeless and purely beautiful ensembles. Which gained the ability to rival any and every classical movie known to man. Light transparencies, delicate laces, and rich chiffons - you can't help but create a scandalous love affair with each look as it plays out in an unbelievably chic story.

As designers continue to narrow down the number of looks presented on their runway, with good reason, the out beloved Chanel shows remain at their pleasantly lengthy state. On the genius roller coater that is purely thought up Karl Lagerfeld, in recent years we have been taken to the French Riviera for "Paris-Monte Carlo", London for "Paris-Londres", and to the Big Apple for both Pre-Fall and Resort alike. So where does a true Chanel globe-trotter go to next? Venice-Italy of course.

Keying into what is needed today and now for Cruise 2015, Lagerfeld took not of D&G's sudden revival of the ever popular nautical trend. While it came to a shock for the sea inspired pieces during ready-to-wear, the nautical influenced print sticks true to the cruise name. In a seas of black and white that has so famously built the brand, this season we were introduced to a wide range of metallic silvers, luminous golds, and ombre reds.

My favorite pieces being the ones featured in the soft metallic section, in addition to the many lace and sheer gowns. Perfect for a luxurious night out on the town, no? Truly what interests the Chanel faithful.

[On A Side Note]: For those of us who just can't get enough of our Tanya D - This marks her 4th Chanel show since her long awaited return, after disappearing at the house from the Spring 2007 show.

My honest thought, you cover as much in your site as possible, very wide variety, and extremely informative. One does not have to be at a fashion show to know what is going on, one has to only visit your site... :-) Brilliantly done, and being a man, way over my head, hehe, but I am learning...
Thanks for visiting mine and thanks for commenting. Really appreciate your input.

Totally totally Chanel, it's sick. SO much to look at, so little time. The jewelry is honestly unspeakably fantastic. I can't get over the look they threw on Jourdan: the chevron patterned bottoms, cute sweater, and typical lace-up weddge booties.

Was it the best Chanel or resort collection? No. Was it a Chanel collection that will stand the test of time? Yes, yes, yes, YES!
