Prada Resort 2015

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

While talk of the not too pleasant economy getting a tad brighter by the end of this year lingers in the air, Miuccia Prada usually accurate fashion forecasting skills to good use.

Displaying a collection completely on point with what ever cruise goer should not be without. While dark and dismal blacks plagued the runways in Fall of 2008 and slightly into Spring 2015, by the looks of Prada's latest Resort collection the darker side of fashion isn't all too relevant come 2015. With a smarter yet spunkier woman in mind, the value of a scarf and it's amazing us becomes known when it transforms into a top, skirt, and even appears of shoes alike throughout the show.

As with every collection Prada presented, your first reaction and the deeper meaning behind the well thought out garments will usually come to be different. Upon first sight of of Prada's latest collection, the many color blocked pieces and simplistic button-up shirts may appear to be that of one's that you would be more than likely to run into whilst budget shopping.

Whilst giving the not too daring top a second look, the chic tailoring and perfect cuts will not always seem to be that of your typical H&M shirt. Yet the idea of interchangeable striking tops leave an impression that we should all keep in mind as temperatures begin to rise.

Oh I've been waiting for your new post!
Why do I have the feeling, that these clothes would look best on (and have been maybe designed for) Blair Waldorf? :D
It is like a time travel.

you deserve the award! and many more! maintaining a blog does demand a lot....all bloggers should be paid! but that would be in a perfect world right? :) i'm glad you like the award though, and thanks for the compliment!

miuccia seems to be liking deep v necks.
i love ostrich accessories.
and the last model to the right in your last collage is striking. she looks like she comes from a painting.

i like this collection better than the fall collection because it is colorful and happy. that fall collection was so deathly looking.

THe combination of nude and yellow or pink is awesome, we need the cheap version of these dresses now!

Again, great collages as usual. In typical Prada fashion, there's SO much to look at. Where do I even begin. I agree with Zoe, Miuccia loves her deep v's (take a look specifically at F/W09). So appropriate for the jetsetting resort folk though. Scarves galore! Tops, skirt, bikini bottomes?! That's what makes Miuccia a brilliant designer. So innovative and she, along with MJacobs, know how to set a trend.

What I love in this collection:
1.Something for everyone. There's something for the preps with these buttoned shirts and v-neck sweaters. Chic dresses for the cocktail go-er or the uptown party girl.

2. COLOUR! I almost thought this collection was designed by Consuela at Marni! It's perfect for the season and very unlike Prada to go with this colour palette. But, I'm all for pushing the boundaries.

3. Ostrich boxy bags?! The bags don't really complement the clothes very well, but are FANtastic nonetheless.

Just like F/W09, the more I look at this collection, it grows on me and I love it :)
